PART 2: THE BRIDE THOUGHT HE WAS JUST DEFENDING HIS MOTHER… UNTIL THE GROOM REVEALED WHY HE REALLY CANCELED THE WEDDING…
The entire botanical garden froze.
The bride stood in her lace mermaid gown, trembling beneath the fairy lights, her hand still shaking from the slap she had just given.
“Canceled?” she whispered, her face draining of color. “You can’t cancel our wedding. Do you know who my father is?”
The groom didn’t even look at her.
He gently wiped the tears from his mother’s bruised cheek, then turned back with eyes so cold the whole room went silent.
“I know exactly who your father is,” he said.
The bride’s lips parted.
The guests leaned closer.
The groom reached into his jacket and pulled out a folded document.
“For six months, my mother begged me to give you another chance,” he said, voice shaking with rage. “Even after you insulted the staff. Even after you screamed at my sister. Even after you called my family ‘low-class’ behind my back.”
The bride’s confident expression cracked.
“That’s not true,” she snapped. “You have no proof.”
The groom’s jaw tightened.
Then he raised the document higher.
“This morning, I received the security footage from my mother’s house.”
A wave of gasps rippled through the garden.
The bride took one step back.
On the screen beside the altar, the footage appeared.
There she was.
The perfect bride.
Throwing the groom’s mother’s medicine into the trash.
Laughing as the older woman searched for it with trembling hands.
Then came her voice, sharp and cruel:
“Once I marry your son, you’ll disappear from this family.”
The groom’s mother covered her mouth and sobbed.
The groom looked at the bride one last time.
“You didn’t just disrespect my mother,” he said. “You tried to erase her.”
The bride shook her head desperately.
“No… no, I was angry. I didn’t mean it.”
But before the groom could answer—
A deep voice echoed from the back of the garden.
“She meant every word.”
Everyone turned.
The bride’s father stood at the entrance, his face pale with shame.
And in his hand…
