PART 2: The Billionaire Tested the Food... Then Discovered the Real Betrayal

The security guards returned five minutes later.

The entire café had gone silent.

Phones were raised.

Even the waiters had stopped pretending not to watch.

The billionaire stood beside the table, his eyes fixed on the sealed report in the guard's hand.

His wife sat perfectly still.

Too still.

The lead guard cleared his throat.

“Sir... the food tested negative.”

A wave of whispers spread through the restaurant.

The wife immediately let out a shaky breath.

For the first time since the boy's accusation, she smiled.

“You see?” she said. “This is ridiculous.”

Several guests nodded.

The ragged little boy lowered his head.

For a moment, it seemed he had made a terrible mistake.

But the billionaire wasn't looking at the report anymore.

He was looking at the boy.

The child still looked terrified.

Not embarrassed.

Terrified.

“Why are you still scared?” the billionaire asked.

The boy swallowed hard.

Then he pointed toward the wife.

“Because that's not what I saw.”

The woman's smile vanished.

The billionaire narrowed his eyes.

“What did you see?”

The boy hesitated.

Everyone leaned closer.

Then he spoke.

“I saw her put something inside your briefcase.”

The café exploded with murmurs.

The billionaire's expression darkened.

His wife immediately stood.

“That's enough.”

But now even she sounded nervous.

The billionaire slowly turned toward his briefcase resting beside the table.

The same briefcase that contained documents worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The same briefcase that had never left his side.

Until this morning.

“Open it,” he said.

The wife stepped forward.

“Don't do this.”

That was the moment he knew something was wrong.

She wasn't afraid of the food test.

She was afraid of the briefcase.

One of the guards brought it over.

The billionaire entered the combination.

The lock clicked open.

Inside sat a thick stack of business contracts.

Everything looked normal.

Then one document slipped loose.

The billionaire picked it up.

His face instantly changed.

Someone had replaced several signature pages.

His signature was there.

But he had never signed them.

The documents transferred ownership of one of his largest companies.

To his wife.

Silence.

The billionaire slowly looked up.

The woman standing in front of him suddenly seemed like a stranger.

“How long?” he asked quietly.

She didn't answer.

“How long have you been planning this?”

Tears appeared in her eyes.

But this time nobody felt sorry for her.

The boy did.

Because he knew something nobody else knew.

The wife wasn't working alone.

And the person helping her was someone the billionaire trusted more than anyone in the world.

The child stared toward a black luxury SUV parked across the street.

A man inside immediately started the engine.

And drove away.

The boy's face turned white.

“That's him,” he whispered.

The billionaire followed his gaze.

Then he realized the nightmare had only just begun.
